Hello to you,
I am now with sight in both eyes! The surgery was a breeze, the recovery going well. In another few weeks, I go back to eye doc to see what my final “vision” will be.
The infusion for me bones was easy too. No sweat. Easy breezy.
My CD continues to have a mind of its own. I will meet with my “team” next week, can’t be on steroids forever.
Now, my fav.
Knitting. I am holding off on the “vest” .. will take it to my knitting group on Fri. get some input, she is lookin’ pretty groovy! While I am recovering (eyes) Ipicked up huge knitting needles & a crap load of free yarn (yes FREE) and started making a Grace Kelly scarf. oooh, I might say it is really fun & mistakes are easily hidden!
Ok, I am off & running (ok, I am off & driving)
I am lonely for my grandsons. I need a fix. Will have to arrange a visit very soon.
be well, laugh outloud

So….
I am almost done w/my first (real) garment. Knitted that is. I will ponder the three needle bind off for a while & then will jump in with gusto & finish it.
T’morrow I go in for my first infusion of “medication” for my bone loss (steroids, ya gotta love um); and in the afternoon, I get eye surgery, again, thanks steroids. I am not complaining, really I am not. The steroids have been the only medication that actually gets my CD into some sort of control.
I look forward to a time that I am NOT scheduled for some damn thing or another on the medical front. I day dream of having not one medical issue to deal with … it is summertime in my dream, and warm & watery … ah lovely !!

I live in the neck of the woods where it can snow in july. SO, when the sun & warmth come, it is like a transformation from slow moody to fast & joyful.
OPEN your WINDOWS, SING the praises of SUNSHINE oh glorious sunshine !!!
Sandals without toes, short skirts, tank tops, sunblock, lots of water. Oh how happy I am!

Some of you know that I journy’d into the unknown land of “Knitting Circles”.
Well, the good news is, I LOVE IT. The people I meet are all amazingly good knitters & have no issues with “lesser” knitters, in fact, they think we are pretty cool. (unlike being a new comer to tennis or say golf … good players hate to play with new comers!)
So, I bravely took my nine foot wonder, photo is my header above); not only did I get praise (ego is so happy), I got idea’s on how to “rearrange” the monster.
As well, it is 65 degrees outside. Ah, the blessings of spring !!

My daughters inlaws are here, they have traveled a long way to see their grandson. He is 3.5 years old & is having the time of his life. His grandparents are smitten, as I know well those delicious feelings.
I find myself not being jealous or hurt or any negative feeling when I see the joy in his little face and the face of his dear grandparents.
Life is good, it is very very good. My daughter is an amazing Mom & wife & friend & daughter all rolled into one very very nice woman.
Proud moments.

I am visiting family, two daughters, their sons & one son in law & a great gramma !! This is the first “combined” visit in way too long.
I watch my grandsons (5yr & 3.5yr) it is a hoot. They love each other too much sometimes! I love it so. They are my heart boys & it is the joy in my life to see my daughters being mothers. They are exceptional parental units. Couldn’t make a mom any more proud.![]()

Hellooooo
I must tell you that I am feeling pretty darn good. Apparently my body loves NOT having azathriopine in it. I am detoxing however, and get the sweats just a bit, but I am delighted to end this particular medication.![]()
I have a firm position (hehe) w/my knitting group, spent some time yesterday with a master knitter
she has an amazing studio for all her arts. It was fun.
I am off to visit family this upcoming week, thrilled to see my grandboys. Life is good today, I hope your’s is too.

I did in fact meet w/my medical team for my Crohn’s.
It was a good meeting.
I have a lot of scarring, apparently my surgeon in 2006 was in a hurry. I was his last patient, forever. The ole sod retired. I guess he was in a hurry. He left a lot of tissue that is riddled w/CD & musta hurried as the scar tissue is thickening very quickly. Lovely.
The good news, I am off azathriopine & pentasa. I am thrilled, as I KNEW the pentasa was making blood in my urine & the aza. wasn’t doing enough good to deal with the side affects. All in all, I am glad I met with HER (female gastro, I adore her).
She listens & is always excited when “we” (team work you see) get me to another level of good health!!
It doesn’t mean I won’t be on another med. in the future, but it means that WE are working together to get me into a state of remission!

I am off in a few minutes to meet with my gastro team. For some damn reason, I am anxious & nervous. I have been feeling pretty good, I know it is the steroids. So, we must get me off them, so much other damage going on because of them. I just sucks.
I have only four options left:
Metholtrixate … Remicade … Humira … or more surgery.
Honestly, i don’t care which is chosen, I just want a long term plan with long term results. ![]()
